WELCOME TO SKYCITY’S EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAMME
What is SkyCity’s Early Intervention Programme?
SkyCity’s Early Intervention Programme is a quick response to addressing the early stages of pain or discomfort before it may lead to an injury.
Who is it suitable for?
The programme is suitable for employees experiencing a recent onset of symptoms which are impacting on their ability to perform activities at work or causing discomfort whilst at work.
Who is the programme not suitable for?
The programme is not designed for treating long-standing (chronic) pain or for anyone requiring medical attention such as bleeding, loss of consciousness or suspected medical event (e.g. heart attack).
What type of support can be expected?
This depends on the likely cause of the pain or discomfort. Typical support can include a work site assessment, self-help exercises and stretches, training in correct working technique or perhaps a couple of physiotherapy sessions.
What interventions are excluded?
The programme is based on addressing the early signs of pain or discomfort. Anything more serious requires medical intervention such as a consultation with your family Doctor. Programme support therefore excludes diagnostics (e.g. plain x-rays or blood tests), paid time off work or ongoing treatment.
How do I report pain or discomfort?
Simply, report the pain or discomfort in Donesafe the same as you’d report an incident in Donesafe. Here is a quick link to lodge an incident report in Donesafe Incident Reporting.
When you get to this page, complete the form until “Person involved*” then select “Save as Draft”.
