Weekly compensation
If you are unable to work or are working reduced hours, you may be entitled to 80% of your weekly earnings up to a maximum set out in legislation. There are different calculations for permanent and casual employees.
Treatment
When you have an accepted claim, SkyCity/ACC can contribute towards treatment costs such as GP or physiotherapy visits.
Other treatment related costs
Certain costs can be reimbursed such as:
- prescription costs prescribed for your injury
- transport for treatment
- emergency transport such as an ambulance
Social rehabilitation
Help to manage at home after your injury can be available. Support can include home-help, attendant care and childcare.
Surgery
If your medical specialist recommends surgery, covering these costs will be considered if it is required because of your injury.
Lump sum compensation
If you unfortunately have a permanent impairment because of your covered injury, you may be entitled to a lump sum payment.
Death benefits
There are grants and payments available to family in case of accident death
